The tutorials cover all aspects of <strong>Turbo</strong> <strong>Prolog</strong> programming, except modular programming<br />

and interfacing with other languages such as C, Pascal, or assembly language.<br />

These features are described in Chapter II, which also contains hints and tips on programming<br />

style and a wealth of other information about advanced system features.<br />

For details about the files supplied on the distribution disk, installation, and <strong>Turbo</strong> <strong>Prolog</strong><br />

menu commands, see Chapter 12. .<br />

THE DISTRIBUTION DISKS<br />

Your distribution disk contains the main <strong>Turbo</strong> <strong>Prolog</strong> program and several other files.<br />

Information about each of these files can be found in Chapter II.<br />

<strong>Turbo</strong> <strong>Prolog</strong> is not copy-protected. Please note that Borland's no-nonsense license<br />

statement licenses you to use your copy of <strong>Turbo</strong> <strong>Prolog</strong> as if it were a book. It is not<br />

licensed to a single person, nor is it tied to one particular computer. The only restriction<br />

on using <strong>Turbo</strong> <strong>Prolog</strong> is that it must not be used by two different people at the same time,<br />

just as a book cannot be read by two people at the same time. And, of course, giving<br />

away copies of <strong>Turbo</strong> <strong>Prolog</strong> to others would be a violation of Borland's copyright.<br />

MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS<br />

To use <strong>Turbo</strong> <strong>Prolog</strong>, you should have the following:<br />

• IBM PC or compatible computer<br />

• 384K RAM internal memory<br />

• PC-DOS or MS-DOS operating system, version 2.0 or later<br />
