Jacker / Avec tous vos crews respectifs on est un peu perdu, l ‘ Entourage,
Le P.O.S, S crew et les 5 Majeurs, qui fait partie de quoi et comment
vous vous êtes rencontrés?
Alpha Wann / Bon ben d’ abord on va commencer les présentations:
5Majeurs, c’ est un groupe, c’est un projet que Nekfeu a fait avec des
gars de l’ ouest, Quimper, Rennes, Nantes, tout ce genre de triangle
des Bermudas(rires). Le S crew c’est le groupe d’enfance de Nekfeu
avec Mekhra, Malfrat, Morpion et 2-zer Washington. Après le POS,
c’est... Qu’ est ce que c’ est que le POS? C’ est plus qu’ un groupe,
c’est trop compliqué à expliquer! C’est nous, mais ça va plus loin, ça
remonte à des époques Open-mic où on allait, on faisait nos trucs
de jeunes hiphopeurs parisiens. On était au lycée avec Sneazzy et
Nekfeu, et voilà on s’ est cliqués comme y aimaient bien l’pera, on a
pera ensemble, un jour j’étais sur Myspace, Jazzy bazz avait laissé un
message sur l’mur d’ un mec, jsuis allé sur sa page, j’ai vu Fonky Flav,
j’ai trouvé que le nom sonnait bien, j’ai écouté, j’ai vu que c’ était chaud,
on s’ est capté, bim! Oui oui c’ est vrai Flav’ jtavais jamais dit, mais
c’ est grâce à Jazzy Bazz que t’ es là (rires). Et voilà, on a continué à
faire les Open-mics ensemble, à un moment ça a commencé à être
chaud, donc on s’est dit pourquoi ne pas faire un projet. Donc c’ est
ce qui a résulté en “La Source”, et après Fonky Flav on a rencontré Dj
Lo, qui n’ est pas DJ... C’ est le beatmaker. Et donc voilà on a fait ce
projet “La Source” qui est sorti le 26 juin, allez l’ acheter, le téléchargez
pas, c’est pas bien... (Nek le Fenek chuchotant : En soum soum )
ou alors téléchargez le sur itunes, et ya pas longtemps Nekfeu et moi
on a sorti un EP qui s’ appelle “en sous marin”, gratuit, vous allez sur
le facebook “En sous-marin”. Là Sneazzy ça fait quelques temps qui
lâche tout le temps des ptits sons de sa tape “nothing”, tout le monde
parle sur les sons, y a pas mal de débats. Et Areno Jazz prépare des
saletés, des crasseries, un maxi, un truc chaud, un truc super chaud.
Jacker / With all your respective crews we are a little lost, the
Entourage, POS, S crew and 5 majeurs, who is part of what and
how did you meet?
Alpha Wann / Okay, first we will start the presentations, “5
Majeurs” is a group, it is a project created by Nekfeu with guys
from the West: Quimper, Rennes, Nantes, all that kind of bermuda
triangle. The “S crew” ‘is Nekfeus childhood group with Mekhra,
Malfrat, Morpion and 2-zer Washington. The POS, that is ...
What is the POS? It is more than a crew, it’s too complicated to
explain! It’s us, but it goes further, this dates back to times of
open-mic when we did our young parisian hiphopeurs stuff. I was
in high school with Sneazzy and Nekfeu, and we came together
‘cause we like rap, we sung together ... One day I was on Myspace,
Jazzy bazz had left a message on the wall of a dude, I went on his
profile, I saw Fonky Flav, I have found that the name sounded
good, I listened, I have seen that he was hot. Yes yes that is true
Flav’ , I never told ya but that is thanks to Jazzy Bazz that you’ re
here (laughs). We continued on Open- mics together and became
so hot that we created a project. So that is what became in “The
Source”, and after Fonky flav’, we met Dj Lo. Dj Lo who is not
DJ .. he is the beatmaker. And so here we made the project “The
Source” which was released on June 26. Go buy it, don’t download
it, that’s not right ... (Nek the Fenek whisperring: Sneaky!) or if
you do, download it on itunes. Some time ago Nekfeu and myself
released an EP that ‘s called “En sous-marin” free on ensousmarin.
fr , you go on ensousmarin in facebook. Sneazzy is giving out some
sounds of his tape , “nothing,” a lot of people talk about it, there
are a lot of discussions. Areno Jazz prepares some good shit, a
maxi, something hot, something super hot.
Jacker / L’ année 1995 est un grand cru dans le hip-hop international.
Est-ce que vous pensez qu’ un retour sur des sonorités du passé est la
clé de votre succès? Le Rap, c’ était mieux avant?
Sneazzy / Le rap c’ est bien, y a pas de “c’était mieux avant”, y a toujours
eu du bon rap, y a toujours eu du boom bap, que ce soit en 2007, en 2006
ou en 2000. Et nous on est al, on fait notre son, c’ est pas du oldschool,
c’est pas du newschool, c’ est du 1.9.9.5, ça veut dire qu’ on mélange
tous nos trucs, on a tous des influences différentes.
Fonky Flav / C’est pas un retour du bon rap, c’est juste une meilleure
médiatisation d’un certain type de rap qui était pas trop médiatisé
ces derniers temps tu vois...
Nekfeu / Et cette médiatisation a été rendue possible grâce à Fonky
Flav, du bruit pour Fonky Flav!!! (rires)
Jacker / Pensez-vous qu’ au jour d’ aujourd’ hui, on n’est plus obligé de
passer dans des clips à la télé pour se faire connaître? En gros, pensez-
vous que le rap underground a de beaux jours devant lui grâce au web ?
Areno Jazz / Bin moi j’suis d’ accord pour dire que les clips ça a
toujours existé, genre, fallait faire des clips pour s’faire connaître, c’
est juste internet qui a révolutionné le truc. On peut enfin diffuser
son propre contenu artistique. Et pour le rap underground, ouais,
j’ avoue que le côté plus médiatique c’ est bien. Et ouais c’ est bien
de voir qu’ il y a des magazines soit disant spécialisés dans l’ rap ou
quoi, qui enfin parlent de rap... Ca fait plaizzzz!
Fonky flav / C’ est clair qu’ aujourd’ hui, sans les clips, pour percer,
c’ est un peu chaud quoi. C’ est pour ça qu’ on a créé notre chaîne

Jacker / The Year 1995 was a vintage year in the hip hop world.
Do you think that a return on the sounds of the past is the key
to your success? Was rap better before ?
Sneazzy / Rap is good, there is no “ it was better before”. It has
always existed, good bap has always existed, whether in 2007,
2006 or 2000. And we are here nowadays, we make our own
sound, no oldschool, no new school, simply 1.9.9.5, it means
that we all mix our stuff, we all have different influences.
Fonky Flav’ / It’s not a come back of good rap, it’s just a better
media coverage of a certain type of rap, that was not so much
put forward by the medias, you know...
Nekfeu / And the media coverage was made possible by Fonky
Flav’, make noise for Fonky Flav’!!!! ( laughs)
Jacker / Do you think that nowadays, you don’t have to be in
video clips on TV to get known? Basically, do you think that
Underground Rap has a bright future thanks to the web ?
Areno / I’m Ok to say that clips have always existed, like uh, to
communicate, it’s just the internet that has revolutionized it. The
thing is, you can spread your own art. And concerning the rap
underground, yeah, I must say that the fact that there is more
communication about it is something good. And it’s cool to see
that there are magazines supposedly specialized in rap or so,
who finally talk about rap... That’s pleasure!
