The LDK 8000 SportCam uses the same
triax cables installed in many of today’s
stadiums. It supports triax cables at
distances up to 1,200m (3,900 feet);
instantly turn the camera into a fully
featured box-lens configuration with
a 7-inch HD b/w or 8.4 LCD color HD
viewfinder.
For further flexibility, the LDK 8000
SportCam supports a range of
external disk recorders and provides a
simultaneous, high-quality SD output
while recording.
True Single-Speed
You can use the LDK 8000 SportCam
as a single-speed camera that functions
like a standard LDK 8000 at 720p or
1080i at 50/59.94 Hz as well. All it
takes is the press of a button to switch
to single-speed native acquisition. In
single-speed mode, the camera can
run on both our regular and high-speed
HD base stations. This compatibility
eliminates the need for additional
equipment, for the flexibility that mobile
productions often require.
Cinemascope-Style Aspect Ratio
In high-speed mode, the LDK 8000 SportCam system is fully compatible with studio production facilities (by providing a
1440 lines (4320 / 3 = 1440).
The C2IP system supports the 1440simple
1080p When four vertical sub-pixels
Line N are combined per scanning
line, the total line count
Line N+1
becomes 1080 lines (4320 / 4 =
Line N+2 1080). So, a 1920 x 1080 image
is obtained with a 16:9 aspect
ratio.
720p When six vertical sub-pixels are
combined per scanning line, the
Line N
total line count becomes 720
16:9 aspect ratio.
The advantage of working with this lower line
count is that higher frame rates can be used for
creating slo-motion effects in post production.
