September 6-8: Wisconsin Sheep & Wool Festival We are<br />

expecting over 600 sheep to be on the fairgrounds this year, over 100 dogs<br />

running in the Stock dog trial and more than 130 vendors with gifts, yarn,<br />

cheese, etc-and last year’s “people” attendance was over 6000. In addition<br />

to the sheep, there are herding dog trials, classes for shepherds (from novice<br />

through experienced), classes for fiber artists (spinning, knitting, basket<br />

weaving, rug hooking and more), vendors selling fleeces, yarns, finished<br />

products, baskets, spinning wheels, looms and more, sheep shows, shearing<br />

demonstrations, food, the state Make it Yourself with Wool competition.<br />

features an extensive selection from Wisconsin wineries for tasting, over<br />

September 7: United Way BBQ Contest Grillers create their<br />

best from choice of ribs, brisket, pork loin or chicken and compete for<br />

best of class. Competitors can begin at 6am and must be ready to serve<br />

the judges at 3:45pm. <strong>The</strong>re is also a hamburger creation competition<br />

with judging at noon. Public tasting begins at 4pm. Vote for your favorite<br />

September 13-15: Gemuetlichkeit Days Celebration<br />

Gemuetlichkeit means good times, good fun, good fellowship. Celebrating<br />
