second team. Cedeno is currently pursuing a master's degree<br />

in business administration at the University of Massachusetts.<br />

JAMIE CASULLO<br />

RUNNING BACKS<br />

Jamie Casullo joined Bob Ford's coaching<br />

staff as running backs coach in July<br />

2008. He <strong>com</strong>es to the program from<br />

Syracuse University where he served as<br />

offensive graduate assistant for two years.<br />

Casullo assisted with Syracuse's offensive<br />

drills and was in charge of the defense<br />

and special teams scout teams. He had additional duties with<br />

developing play books, scouting reports and video coordination.<br />

From 2004-06, Casullo was an assistant to the defensive<br />

backs coach at Brown University. The Bears won the 2005<br />

Ivy League championship during his tenure. Casullo worked<br />

primarily with the free safeties and had recruiting responsibilities<br />

in the states of New York, Florida, North Carolina, South<br />

Carolina and Alabama.<br />

Prior to his arrival at Brown, Casullo was the wide receivers<br />

coach and assisted the special teams coordinator at Union College.<br />

He also worked at Buffalo State with the receivers and<br />

kick returners from 2002-03.<br />

Casullo was a four-year starting wide receiver at Buffalo<br />

State and served as team captain as a senior. The Bengals<br />

reached the NCAA Division III playoffs twice and won the 2002<br />

ECAC Northwest championship.<br />

Casullo, 29, earned a B.S. from Buffalo State. He was an<br />

All-Central New York selection in football and baseball at Cicero-<br />

North Syracuse High School. Casullo's father, Bob, is currently<br />

Syracuse University's assistant head coach.<br />

JUAN TORRES<br />

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR<br />

Juan Torres was hired as director of<br />

football operations in March 2008. He previously<br />

worked with the UAlbany program<br />

in video operations from 2001-06. Torres<br />

handles administrative duties, travel and<br />

serves as video coordinator.<br />

Torres, who had been employed by the<br />

Starbucks Corporation, earned a B.A. in Spanish with a minor<br />

in mathematics from UAlbany in 2006. He studied abroad with<br />

the International Institute in Madrid, Spain as a senior. Torres<br />

attended Brentwood High School on Long Island and was a<br />

four-year member of the football squad as a wide receiver and<br />

defensive back.<br />

UNIVERSITY AT ALBANY SPORTS MEDICINE -- Capital Region Orthopaedic Associates works with the University at<br />

Albany athletic training staff to provide the more than 440 varsity athletes with full-service health and medical care. Dr. Max<br />

Alley, Dr. Shankar Das, Dr. James Schneider, Dr. Rick Alfred and Dr. Jim Striker represent a group of orthopedic doctors who<br />

contribute heavily to the surgical and rehabilitative end of the the school's sports medicine program. Dr. Tony Marinello, who<br />

specializes in family practice, serves as the school's team physician.<br />

TONY TULLOCK<br />

ASSISTANT ATHLETIC DIRECTOR<br />

Tony Tullock is in his tenth year as<br />

assistant athletic director for athletic<br />

performance. He supervises UAlbany's<br />

19-sport intercollegiate athletics program.<br />

Tullock was previously assistant<br />

strength and conditioning coach at Colgate<br />

University for two years. He designed and<br />

administered strength programs for men's and women's ice<br />

hockey, soccer, field hockey, lacrosse and softball, and was<br />

active with the football and basketball programs. Tullock also<br />

handled daily operations of the University Fitness Center, created<br />

off-season workouts for athletes, and used video analysis<br />

to correct weightlifting techniques.<br />

Tullock, a certified strength and conditioning specialist, was<br />

a graduate assistant at the University of Massachusetts for two<br />

years. He received a master's degree in exercise science and<br />

physiology from UMass, and earned a B.A. in psychology from<br />

Boston College, where he was a student assistant. Tullock and<br />

his wife, Sue, have two children.<br />

BLAKE CUNDIFF<br />

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING<br />

Blake Cundiff is in his second year<br />

as UAlbany's strength and conditioning<br />

coach, with specific responsibilities in the<br />

sports of football and basketball. He has<br />

worked on the college and professional<br />

levels for nearly two decades.<br />

Cundiff, who was recently the executive<br />

sports performance director at Velocity Sports Performance in<br />

Texas, served as associate director of strength and conditioning<br />

at the University of Minnesota from 2005-07. He implemented<br />

and maintained the Big Ten Conference school’s individual and<br />

team strength and flexibility programs and coordinated speed<br />

training and conditioning in the off-season.<br />

From 1997-2000, Cundiff was assistant strength and conditioning<br />

coach for the National Football League’s Dallas Cowboys.<br />

Dallas advanced to the NFL playoffs twice during his tenure.<br />

Cundiff worked at the University of North Texas from 1993-97<br />

as assistant strength coach. He also had a two-year stint with<br />

Grapevine Mustang Football as head strength coach.<br />

Cundiff earned a B.S. in kinesiology with emphasis in exercise<br />

physiology and injury rehabilitation from North Texas in 1995.<br />

He also received as associate’s degree in business management<br />

from Mountain View College. Cundiff is a member of the<br />

National Strength and Conditioning Association.<br />
