The minister’s son takes the prince’s blood by cutting his neck<br />
friend sitting on his chest with a dagger in his hand. But the prince<br />
closed his eyes and the minister’s son filled the bowl of leaves with<br />
the blood of the prince and offered it to the snake. The snake sipped<br />
the blood and went away quickly. Then the minister’s son applied<br />
some herbal medicine on the cut and tied a bandage on it.<br />
After some time, the prince awoke. He did not utter a word<br />
and behaved as if nothing had happened and both of them<br />
resumed their journey. They spent several days in the forest, but<br />
the prince never asked the minister’s son anything. However, the<br />
minister’s son became impatient. So, he asked the prince, “When<br />
you were asleep I had sat on your chest, and made a cut on your<br />
throat. Look, here is the bandage on your throat. I wonder why<br />
you haven’t asked me anything about it?”<br />
The prince replied, “You are my great friend. You must have<br />
done something which was in my interest. Therefore, I have not<br />
asked you any questions.”<br />
