O Bhagwan! You have compassionately/mercifully granted a<br />
great favour to the people for their moksha. Who is capable of<br />
repaying You for this favour. (Nobody.) That is why I, Dinanath<br />
Bhatt, with folded hands bow to You.<br />
12. LAKSHMICHAND SHETH<br />
Once Shriji Maharaj was addressing the holy assembly of<br />
devotees and sadhus at Kariyani. At that time, Shriji Maharaj<br />
pointed towards a little boy about eight years old and asked<br />
Ramanujanand Swami and Gopalanand Swami junior, “Do you<br />
know him?” The sadhus replied that the boy was the son of a<br />
certain devotee.<br />
Shriji Maharaj once again asked, “I don’t want his identification<br />
in this birth. Can you tell me who he was in his last birth? Have<br />
you ever met him before?”<br />
Sadhus replied, “No, Maharaj.”<br />
Shriji Maharaj said, “This child is Lakshmichand Sheth of<br />
Vrindavan. He had served me and you all too and because of that<br />
today he has got my association. He is a very noble soul.”<br />
This Lakshmichand Sheth was very rich and generous and was<br />
a great devotee of God. He had constructed a beautiful mandir<br />
of Shrirangji at Vrindavan and had erected a big pillar in its<br />
courtyard. That pillar was covered with 22 maunds of gold sheets.<br />
Although he had done so much to please God, he always served<br />
food to beggars from morning to noon without becoming proud of<br />
what he was doing. He was offering this service, not with a view<br />
to earn name and fame, but for the moksha of his soul. Once a<br />
sadhu of Shriji Maharaj, Sukhanand Swami, arrived at Vrindavan.<br />
At that time Sheth was offering food in charity to the needy. The<br />
sadhu stood in a corner. When all the people were served, the<br />
sadhu approached the Sheth and collected food. The Sheth asked
