artificial light in an air-conditioned room (20–
24°C).
h Keep two series of stock cultures of each species
to reduce the risks of contamination and complete
loss of algae.
maintain the algae in suspension.
h Sub-culture the stock cultures once a week (or no
longer than 2 weeks).
