COUNSELING CENTER<br />
N i k k i P r i t c h e t t , D i r e c t o r The mission <strong>of</strong> the <strong>University</strong> Counseling Center is to enhance<br />
the academic experience <strong>of</strong> students by promoting healthy personal development through brief individual<br />
counseling, group counseling, skill enhancement and preventative outreach services.<br />

Provided services to 13,510 <strong>FSU</strong> students,<br />
faculty, staff, and family members through direct<br />
clinical interventions, prevention programming,<br />
consultation, outreach presentations and training<br />
Provided 10,786 counseling sessions (8.7%<br />
increase) to 2,050 individual students (7% increase)<br />
Conducted 588 emergency assessments <strong>of</strong><br />
students who presented in psychological crisis<br />
which represents a 26% increase over the previous<br />
year<br />
Maintained an active group counseling program<br />
<strong>of</strong>fering a variety <strong>of</strong> psychoeducational and<br />
process groups; topics included relationship<br />
issues, grief and bereavement, self understanding,<br />
and dissertation support<br />

preventative mental health programs to 11,400<br />
students, faculty, staff, and <strong>FSU</strong> family members<br />

Pre-doctoral Internship Training Program<br />
Expanded RENEW membership (Realizing<br />
Everyone’s Need for Emotional Wellness), a peer<br />
educator student group, from 19 to 60 active student<br />
members and enhanced RENEW programming to<br />
include the promotion <strong>of</strong> emotional well-being, peer<br />
education workshops, and mental health awareness<br />
Taught psychiatry training seminars for the <strong>FSU</strong><br />
Medical School and supervised medical students in<br />
their psychiatry rotations
