Climate and Geomorphologic-related Disasters in Latin America 27 phenomena increases, so does the public sensitivity to the results of climatedriven disasters. Catastrophic environmental scenarios proposed by climate models within the framework of global climate change and Latin American governments will be pushed to put in place mechanisms to mitigate the effects of natural disasters in the region.
