fifteen merks with two hens and ten load<br />

of peats and one load of fir which he paid<br />

for the six bygone cropts to the Lady<br />

Dowager.<br />

Donald Roy depones he is to pay yearly for his posses-<br />

sion t<strong>here</strong> twenty merks one load fir and twelve loads of<br />

peat two hens and is ane intrant tennent promises to pay<br />

his rent to the factors at next Martimass.<br />

Ewen McHutcheon t<strong>here</strong> depones he payes yearly fifteen<br />

merks two hens and one load firr and fifteen loads of<br />

peats and paid all bygones to the Lady Dowager promis-<br />

ing to pay his rent to the factors next Martimas and further<br />

that each merks pay in the town pay one load of peats.<br />

John Chisolm alias Miller, officer, depones he payes<br />

yearly fifteen merks and custome as the other tennents<br />

but had the same allowed him for his service. The above<br />

officer depones againe he payes five merks more than the<br />

above fifteen makes twenty.<br />

Alexander Roy Maclvrebiter depones he payes twenty<br />

merks two hens one load fir and twenty loads of peat<br />

which he paid for the six bygone cropts to the late Chisolm<br />

<strong>this</strong> by his father. The above Alexander Roy depones<br />

acknowledges possession as above and promises to pay<br />

to the factors at next Martimass.<br />

Comer Kirktown.—Donald McUill in Comer Kirktown<br />

depones he payes fifteen merks with 2 hens 1 load and 15<br />

loads peats yearly which he paid to the Lady Dowager for<br />

the six bygone cropts.<br />

Comernibruigh.—Ewen Ban in Comernibruigh depones<br />

he payes yearly for his possession t<strong>here</strong> twenty two merks<br />

and a half.<br />

Comernihawn.—Donald McOil VicUrchy payes 15<br />

merks with customes conform as above.
