Received the professional Diploma of trombone at the Conservatoire de Musique of<br />
Geneva. In addition studied orchestration, composition, electrical-acoustical music,<br />
piano and guitar.<br />
He studied Musicology and Chinese language at the University of Geneva.<br />
His musical practice is especialy oriented in improvisation in jazz, contemporary music<br />
and the musics with computers and electrical-acoustical research .<br />
In this music’s field, he composed music for brass, choir, piano, short films and<br />
theatre and he has played with various kinds of groups including his own quintet , the<br />
Michel Wintsch’s sextet, Gerry Hemingway, Hervé Provini et J-J Pedreti in Forth trio,<br />
Rainer Boesch, Lucas Niggli, Saadet Türkos, Vinz Vonlenthen, Markus Eichenberger…<br />
He regulary performes in solo with electric trombone, tapes and computer as well as<br />
for the 700th Anniversary of the Swiss Confederation, festival de la Bâtie (Geneva),<br />
the AMR festival, the Festival international organ concerts and chamber music<br />
(Lausanne), International Festival of Documentary Film (Nyon, Switzerland)…<br />
In the jazz field, he has played with various kinds of groups including Maurice<br />
Magnoni’s l’Etat des Sons, the François Lindemann’s sextet, the Gordon Lennox’s Low<br />
Brass, Stefano Saccon’s quintet as well as in the Europeen Jazz Festival Orchestra -<br />
director : Laurent Cugny - etc.<br />
Is and has been member of different symphonic orchestras (Collegium, E.V.C.E) and<br />
soloist for the Studio de musique contemporaine de Genève.<br />
Has played in numerous jazz concerts in Switzerland, Western and Eastern Europe,<br />
USA, China, Africa, Slovaquia, Slovania , Russia and other CEI countries<br />
Has participated in several big jazz festivals : Extasis and AMR Festival in Geneva,<br />
Montreux, Willisau, Neuchâtel, Zurich, Atlanta and Detroit (USA), Vilnius (Lithuania),<br />
Archangelsk (Russia), Rome and Rocella (Italy), Ougadougou and Abidjan and Dakar<br />
(Africa), Dubei, Sarajevo (Bosnia), Bratislava, Porto, Maribor, Berlin ...<br />
Played trombone and arranged music for a number of records in Geneva, Paris and<br />
Detroit.<br />
He teaches also at the Conservatoire Populaire de Musique of Geneva and at the<br />
Wuhan conservatory<br />
(China ). Also giving seminars on Jazz History in AMA (Geneva).<br />
