Luigi’s subtile, creative and interactive play makes him stand out . With his powerful<br />
drive, he brings to <strong>By</strong>-Spiel <strong>Project</strong> a language tinged with unexpected atmospheres,<br />
coming from the percussion of material such as kitchen ustensils and other objects<br />
inspiring curiosity to the public, and bringing to perfection the sound created by the<br />
other musicians. Entering the service of music and always being in touch with others,<br />
his very intutive accompaniment show an intense/high sensibility that makes him a<br />
precious <strong>By</strong>-Spiel project musician.<br />
Luigi discovers the drums at the age of 15 with his first teacher, Marco Scarinzi. He<br />
then studies the instrument during six years with Norbert Pfammatter before entering<br />
the Swiss jazz School of Berne, where he studies with Billy Brooks and Ueli Müller. He<br />
obtains his teaching diploma with Leonzio Cherubini and Olivier Clerc at the Swiss jazz<br />
School of Montreux. During all these years, he follows courses with Charlie Blatter<br />
and musical experiences will increase through his association with various music<br />
groups such as « le Bidon Clique » ( Carnaval percussion Band), as percussionnist in<br />
the « Spectacle des jardins de la paix » (put on stage by Gérard Demière), with the<br />
« Big Band » of Biel and Montreux as well as with the « in Person » group that<br />
travelled the roads loaf Switzerland and France in 1995/1996.<br />
At the same time, he teaches his instrument and leads workshops in different music<br />
schools of the region ( “Ton sur Ton” in La Chaux-de-Fonds, at the Collège Dufour in<br />
Biel)<br />
He is or has been the sideman of : Jérôme Thomas, Lucien Dubuis, Michel Weber, Ivor<br />
Malherbe, Antoine Ogay, Maurizio Bionda, Ivan Ischer, Simon Gouber, Mauro Monti,<br />
Jean Pierre Pasquier, Markus Fuchs, Sophie Kummer and Friends, Rolland Hug,<br />
« Quintet-à-Queu », « The Genius Factory » and in various gospel choirs et pop.<br />
