■■ Sub-area 1 – Northern Coastal Rivers Flood risk is low as a whole and is not expected to increase significantly in the future. Where risk does increase this will be managed by reprioritising current flood risk management activities. ■■ Sub-area 2 – Upper Teifi Flood risk is low as a whole and not expected to increase significantly in the future. Where risk does increase this will be managed by reprioritising current flood risk management activities. ■■ Sub-area 3 – Lower Teifi Flood risk is low but expected to rise in the future with an increase in infrastructure at risk. Flood risk management activity will need to increase to sustain the current level of risk into the future. ■■ Sub-area 4 – Western Coastal Rivers Flood risk is low but is expected to rise across this sub area in the future. Rapid response catchments combined with vulnerable transient populations are an issue. Flood risk management activity will need to increase to sustain the current level of risk into the future. ■■ Sub-area 5 – Eastern and Western Cleddau Flood risk is low and not expected to rise significantly in the future. Flood risk management will reduce over time in a managed way but flood warning and resilience measures will continue. ■■ Sub-area 6 – Western Commercial Area Flood risk is expected to rise significantly in the future causing an increase in damages to this important economic area. Flood risk management activity will need to increase to sustain the current level of risk into the future.
