Community Recreation
Department offers and promotes
recreation activities and programs all year
round but would like to encourage residents
to become more engaged with all of the
recreation activities that are available in
Borden. Recreation enhances the quality of
life, balances living and lifelong learning,
helps people live happier and longer lives,
develops skills and positive self image in
children and youth, develops creativity, and
builds healthy bodies and positive lifestyles.
Recreation participation builds family unity,
strengthens volunteer and community development,
enhances social interaction, creates
community pride and vitality and promotes
sensitivity and understanding to cultural
diversity.
With all the benefits of recreation who
would not want to participate and get
involved? Borden has over 40 different
recreation opportunities including organized
club and activity groups, fitness classes,
children’s programming, learn to swim programs,
bowling, gym memberships, library
and open gym and swim programs. Borden
also has an excellent outdoor paved trail
