Emma Pitcher was admitted to
the Boult Wade Tennant partnership
on 1 October 2005. Her
practice is concerned with the
protection and management of
international trade mark portfolios
for major companies, primarily
in the retail, travel and energy
sectors. She also advises on
brand selection, undertakes
rebranding programmes and assists with dispute resolution.
Emma has an LLM in Commercial Law from
King’s College, London and an MA Hons in
Jurisprudence from Oxford University. Boult Wade
Tennant now has 19 partners, 40 other professional
personnel and a total of over 160 staff based in offices
in London, Oxford, Cambridge and Reading.

John MacGillivray, Principal Hearing Officer and
Charles Hamilton and Ian Peggie ex parte Hearing
Officers retire from the Trade Marks Registry at the
end of the year. All three have retired early under a
Patent Office-wide scheme.
