for Riverton High School, leading<br />

her team to a region championship her<br />

senior season. She ranked third alltime<br />

for the state <strong>of</strong> Utah in field goal<br />

CC last season, Sam earned MVP <strong>of</strong><br />

the NWAACC as well as first team<br />

NWAACC Tournament honors. She<br />

averaged 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5<br />

blocks per game while there.<br />

During high school, Sam led her<br />

team to a second-place finish at state in<br />

2003 and league championships three<br />

times.<br />

She averaged 3 points and 0<br />

rebounds as a senior.<br />
