Research targets should be a better understanding of different floodplain types,
their hydromorphological conditions and intactness as well as ecology (in
particular a better understanding of ecological processes related to the biological
and physio-chemical quality elements of the WFD and vulnerability based on
comprehensive floodplain inventories across the Danube basin.
