EDITORS’ BIOGRAPHIES Professor Songjun Li Professor Songjun Li is a distinguished professor of functional polymers in Jiangsu University, and currently the president of the Chinese Advanced Materials Society. He was the chairman of the 1st International Congress on Advanced Materials. Professor Li has published 50-plus papers in peer-reviewed journals and edited 5 books in prestigious publishers including Wiley-VCH, Elsevier, Bentham Science, Nova Science, and Research Signpost. He is also the PI for one EU Marie Curie FP7-IIF project and two Chinese National Science Funding projects. He sits on the editorial boards of "American Journal of Environmental Sciences", "Journal of Public Health and Epidemiology", "the Open Electrochemistry Journal", and "Journal of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics Research". Professor Li was appointed an associate professor by Central China Normal University, in the wake of his PhD degree awarded by Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2005. As a post-doctoral associate, he joined the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (USA) in 2008, followed by his Marie Curie Fellowship in Cranfield University (UK), where he has worked with the world-renowned scientists Professor Anthony P.F. Turner and Professor Sergey A Piletsky during 2009-2011. He joined Jiangsu University as the distinguished professor in Dec 2011, where he is leading the research group of 'Molecular Imprinting and Catalytic Nanoreactors' in the School of Materials Science and Engineering. Dr. Yi Ge Currently is appointed as the Course Director and a Lecturer in Nanomedicine in Cranfield Health at Cranfield University. He obtained his bachelor’s degree (1st Class Hons) in Biopharmaceutics and went on to an MPhil degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Aston University. Afterwards, he moved to the University of Sheffield for a PhD in Chemistry. He was later employed as a research scientist in a UK pharmaceutical company and was then a postdoctoral research associate at Imperial College London, before joining Cranfield University in the group of advanced sensor and smart material in 2006.
