Davidson School Conducts
Child Find
Davidson Public Schools is
seeking information concerning
handicapped children who might
be eligible for educational services
from the school. Davidson
Public Schools is part of a joint
venture involving the Oklahoma
State Department of Education
to collect selected information on
developmentally, physically,
emotionally, and mentally handicapped
children, birth trough 21
years of age, for the purpose of
determining present and future
programs and placement needs.
The Bureau of Education for
the Handicapped has mandated
that public schools will be
responsible for the education of
all handicapped children aged 0-
21 regardless of their handicapping
condition. The State
Department of Education has
approved regulations to meet
minimum guidelines to implement
such services.
Davidson Public Schools is
asking for everyone’s help in
locating all unserved children. It
is the responsibility of the local
district to locate and refer all
receiving educational services
from the public school system.
An Interpreter will be provided if
needed.
It is the policy of the Davidson
Public Schools to provide equal
opportunities without regard to
race, color, national origin, religion,
sex, age, qualified handicap,
or veteran status in its educational
programs and activities.
This includes, but is not limited to
admissions, educational services,
financial aid, and employment.
