Covering 150,000 square metres, the terminal building enhances our passengers’ 

travel experience: At the new terminal travellers experience modern architecture 

with light-flooded halls and short transfer distances, as well as 31 shops and 

19 mouth-watering food outlets.

At the Austrian Star Alliance Terminal a minimum 

connection time of 25 minutes is made possible by 

the 3-level concept. Unlike at other airports, the 

passengers simply have to change between levels, 

not terminals. The new terminal can be accessed 

directly from the old one. All airport facilities are 

under one roof and passengers can access all 

3 check-in areas indoors. The building extension 

has doubled the terminal area and increased the 

capacity by an additional 14.5 million passengers

You will find the light-flooded check-in area on Level 1, 

where its 69 counters and 40 check-in machines are 

located in the 270 m semi-circular terminal building. 

This is where the journey starts for all passengers 

flying with Austrian Airlines or a Star Alliance partner.

to the central security control point. 15 security lanes 

ensure waiting times are kept to a minimum. Take the 

fast lane if you are a Status client or are travelling 

Business Class.

31 shops and 19 restaurants and refreshment corners 

await you along the new 500 m pier. Austrian brands 

such as Meinl am Graben, Café Sacher and Spar Gourmet 

offer their first-class products here as well as a host 

of international top labels such as Dolce & Gabbana, 

Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, Puma and Gant. And should 

you wish to spend the time before boarding with work, 

then make yourself comfortable in one of the 80 laptop 

chairs equipped with built-in power outlets and privacy 

screens. What is more, a free WLAN connection is 

provided throughout the entire airport building. 

There is also a children’s corner with an interactive 

media installation called “Catch a Plane” to make 

sure our smallest passengers do not get bored. 

Take your kids there – they’ll love it. 

Arriving in Vienna 

There is one central Arrivals Hall for all arriving 

passengers. Ten baggage delivery belts make sure 

that baggage can be claimed quickly and easily. 

HON Circle and Senator passengers as well as 

STAR Gold customers have the additional advantage 

of the Priority Baggage service. 

From the airport into the city: 

The bus terminal is located right outside the 

Arrivals Hall and offers direct connections to 

Vienna City Centre, Bratislava, etc.

Senator and HON Circle service card and an Austrian 

boarding pass you are more than welcome.

2,000 m² in all, awaiting you in the Austrian Star Alliance

ruby-coloured breathable leather of the headrests,

We do not just fly over mountains, we also have them on 

board: The rear wall of the Business Class cabin features the 

mountain massif of the High Tauern with the Grossglockner. 

As cosy as your own bed 

The impressive new high-tech seat provides lots of free 

space on all sides and a fully horizontal flatbed almost 

two metres in length. The innovative air cushion system 

allows you to adjust the seat for your own maximum 

comfort. 

The system remembers your settings throughout the 

flight, which makes being on board as relaxing as being 

at home. At the touch of a button you glide into your 

desired seating position: Upright, Relax or Sleep. 

And that’s not all: a push of the button will activate 

the built-in massage function. 

The adjustable armrests widen your seat from 51 cm 

(20 in) to almost 60 cm (24 in), creating even more 

space and comfort. 

Thanks to a well-devised seating layout, every Business 

Class passenger on our Boeing 767 aircraft benefits from 

direct access to the aisle. On Boeing 777 aircraft, four of 

five passengers have direct access. So you and your fellow 

passengers will largely enjoy an undisturbed flight.

Video and Audio on Demand you can choose your favourite

Business Class are 38 cm (15 in) in size. Operating the touch 

screen is easy: simply tap or slide a finger across the screen

Our First Class Service 

In Business Class our Flying Chefs add the finishing 

touches to the exquisite menus of DO & CO. 

After an amuse gueule, we serve soup and starters 

from the trolley; and then you have a choice of 

three different main courses. We offer a large variety 

of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and crispy 

baked products to go with your meal. A selection 

of desserts and cheeses rounds it all off.

Long-haul flights in Austrian Business Class are a 

very special treat. Our flight attendants will pamper 

you with a multi-course menu from DO & CO, which 

is prepared and refined on board by the Austrian 

Flying Chef: There’s an amuse gueule to begin with, 

followed by soup and starters from the trolley, as 

well as three different main courses. A selection of 

desserts and cheeses completes your meal. 

Our on-board sommelier will recommend the perfect 

wine to go with your menu. 

Finally, you should stop by our coffee shop above 

the clouds. We will gladly serve you typical Austrian 

coffee specialties such as an Einspaenner (black 

coffee with whipped cream) or Melange (coffee 

with milk foam).

Check in directly with Austrian Airlines and the City 

Airport Train (CAT) at the Wien Mitte railway station in 

the heart of Vienna. The CAT takes passengers from 

Vienna city centre to the airport in just 16 minutes. You 

can also check in for your Austrian flight and drop off 

your baggage directly at the CAT station at Wien Mitte 

up to 75 minutes before departure. You can also use our

Relax in Economy Class 

Our new long-haul Economy Class provides ergonomic 

seating with a relax function. The newly designed seat in 

an understated grey colour has a very specific feature: 

when you recline the back, the seat automatically moves 

forward, providing a distinctly more comfortable seating 

position. Your seat reclines by 6 degrees and has a 79 cm 

(31 in) seat pitch. 

Entertainment 

Thanks to a selection of some 30 motion pictures 

(four of which are children’s movies), approximately 

150 music CDs and ten games, you’ll be your own 

programming director in our new Audio and Video 

on Demand Entertainment Programme. Operating 

the system is easy: simply tap or slide a finger across 

the touch screen like on a tablet PC. Every guest has 

a USB port for charging electronic devices at his or 

her disposal. Movies and TV highlights are updated 

each month. For best viewing, the incline of our 

23 cm (9 in) flat screens in Economy Class can be 

adjusted to match your seating position.

button and enter the passenger’s data. You can then 

print your boarding pass with your seat number. 

If you don’t have access to a printer, we will be happy

Sports equipment can be checked in 

free of charge 

Whether on the fairway or under water – nothing will

your golf bag (up to 15 kg) and your diving equipment
