Some of your classmates do keep others from learning,
But learn to ignore their disruptions.
There are many distractions in life and you will need to learn to filter
those so that you can stay
Focused.
Determined.
Open.
There are teachers who may not respect you or
Who are cruel to you.
You should know that just as you come to school with your own
backpack full of grief and anxiety
And crises, many of them carry their own burdens and have nowhere to
lay them except on your Tiny Backs.
Do not let them convince you that you are anything but a miracle.
You have forward momentum.
You have now.
Make a life for yourself that you want.
Write your wish list on a piece of paper and carry it with you.
It is possible.
Learn a second language—it will make you flexible when situations
become rigid.
