Location.- Water-stage recorder, lat. 34°14'4Q*, long. S0039'15", at new bridge on U. S.<br />

Highway 1, 1,500 feet downstream from TwentyfIvemlle Creek, 4,000 feet upstream from<br />

Seaboard Railway bridge, 2.2 miles west <strong>of</strong> Camden, Kershaw Count's and 7.4 miles<br />

downstream from Wateree Dam. Datum <strong>of</strong> gage Is 119.36 feet above mean sea level, datum<br />

<strong>of</strong> 1929, supplementary adjustment <strong>of</strong> 1936.<br />

Drainage area.- 5,070 square miles.<br />

Records available.- January to December 1903 (gage heights only), September 1904 to June<br />

191O, October 1929 to September 1945. Gage-height records colleited at site It miles<br />

downstream, 1891-19|34, and at site 1,000 feet upstream, January 1935 to September 1942,<br />

are contained in.reports <strong>of</strong> U. S. Wea<strong>the</strong>r Bureau.<br />

Average discharge.- 16 years (1929-45), 5,749 second-feet. ,<br />

Extremes.- Maximum discharge during year, 132,000 second-feet Sept. 18, 19; maximum mge<br />
