sincere thanks the many vivid hours of right instructi<strong>on</strong> in dance expressi<strong>on</strong>." She<br />

also quotes from Dicks<strong>on</strong>'s "Poem of the Dance," "... To have seen <strong>Isadora</strong> <strong>Duncan</strong><br />

when she first danced to Gluck's "Iphigenia in Aulis" was to have seen most<br />

memorable triumphs. And in her recent appearance that triumph was even<br />

greater. For the rapture and revelati<strong>on</strong> came through a body no l<strong>on</strong>ger beautiful in<br />

itself; an ecstasy that was as bodiless as the magic with which it melted; austere,<br />

c<strong>on</strong>secrated, compelling ..."<br />
