create up to the same amount of additional contours. A positive value of for<br />

example 2 adds a contour with two millimetres distance from the original<br />

contour to the outside. A negative value works to the inside.<br />

– Contours<br />

Here you can enter positive or negative values for the contouring.<br />

– fx and fy<br />

The creation of contours can be combined with scaling. The factors<br />

specified for scaling in horizontal and vertical directions will be applied on<br />

the selected glyph(s).<br />

– With Original Contours<br />

In case this option is selected the original contour will be preserved. This<br />

only works if the specified values are positive.<br />

– Cut Corners<br />

Selecting this option will preserve line thickness in the newly generated<br />

contour.<br />

– Remove Overlaps<br />

The functionality of this option is comparable with the Union function<br />

from the Hidden Line option and prevents overlapping contours.<br />

Hidden Line<br />

This function merges overlapping contours. It currently works always on<br />

the complete character.<br />

– Union<br />

Merges the contours.<br />

– Intersection<br />

Creates the intersection. Only the overlapping parts remain. The rest of the<br />

contours are deleted.<br />
