3.3 THE GRIB-FORMAT <strong>DKRZ</strong> GRIB/EXTRA Format Module Documentation The programs described below use the following specifications. - TYPE Data representation type 0 latitude / longitude grid 4 gaussian latitude / longitude grid -4 0 or 4 50 spherical harmonic coefficients -1 any - TIME Time step number Time steps have decimal format YYMMDDHH Day of year is specified as MMDD, hour of day as HH, etc. Time ranges are specified as parameters NT1 and NT2. - CODE Data code, please refer to Table 1. Codes greater than 256 are folded to fit in one byte. Programs treat codes equal, if they have equivalent representation, e.g. codes 263 and 7 match. - LEVEL Either Isobaric level, pressure specified in hPa, or Sigma level number. Ranges are specified as parameters LV1 and LV2.
