• MOIS supports all the phases
of mine hunting operations:
– planning, operation and reporting;
– presents data on AML and S57 Navigation Charts;
– exchange data with ECDIS (Electronical Chart Display system).
• data handling and data exchange of the detected,
classifi ed and identifi ed sonar contacts is based
entirely on the NATO AML-SBO (Additional Military
Layers, Small Bottom Objects) electronic chart concept;
• supported sensors:
– minehunting sonar (Thales VDS 2093, Plessey 193M),
– sidescan sonar (Klein),
– navigation sensors,
– surface situation awareness sensors,
– underwater positioning sensors,
• other sensors are adobtable.
