McAulliffe. <strong>The</strong> disaster was a ma-<br />

jor setback for the space program<br />

and raised basic questions about<br />

the future of manned space ex-<br />

ploration. President Reagan ap-<br />

painted a special Rogers Cornrnis-<br />

sions to study the reasons for the<br />

Challenger's fiery nightmare.<br />

determined that Marcos fixed the<br />
