We are committed to supporting
health practitioners, clinicians,
policy-makers, laboratory scientists
and scientists who want to obtain a
world-class quali cation in aspects
of public health, global health
and tropical medicine, no matter
where they are in the world.
At any one time over 100 School
sta are based overseas, and we
have a strong commitment to
partnership with institutions in
low and middle income countries
to support the development of
teaching and research capacity.
Our research and teaching
collaborations throughout the world
are embedded in multidisciplinary
collaborations which include
clinicians, epidemiologists,
economists, statisticians, social
scientists, molecular biologists
and immunologists.
Through our distance learning
programme run in partnership with
University of London International
Programmes, we have been
able to make our specialised
advanced training more widely
available. These have grown in
popularity in recent years, and
we now have 2,795 registered
distance learning students from
over 150 countries worldwide.
Our distance learning students
include health professionals,
practitioners and policy-makers,
focusing on areas including
Clinical Trials, Epidemiology, Global
Health Policy, Infectious Diseases
and Public Health. Many go on
to distinguished careers in the
eld, and keep in touch with the
School for many years to come.
