AHAVATH ACHIM YOUNG PROFES-<br />
SIONALS. Ahavath Achim Synagogue (AA)<br />
is starting a new young professionals group<br />
for members and non-members ages 23-35.<br />
On August 15, AA hosted its first AAbsolut<br />
Shabbat, where participants met new<br />
Assistant Rabbi Laurence Rosenthal, listened<br />
to rock ‘n roll music, enjoyed drinks and<br />
light appetizers before the service, and gathered<br />
at a dessert reception afterwards; visit<br />

ACCESS. Access, the young adult division<br />
of the Atlanta <strong>Jewish</strong> Committee, provides<br />
stimulating programs as well as opportunities<br />
for leadership development, networking, and<br />
hands-on volunteer service. <strong>The</strong> Atlanta<br />
Chapter is recognized for its diverse programs<br />
designed to enhance <strong>Jewish</strong> learning<br />
and identity, as well as numerous interfaith<br />
and inter-ethnic activities. Internationally,<br />
AJC works to advance human rights, combat<br />
terrorism, and aid in the quest for a peaceful<br />
Middle East. On September 25, 6:30 p.m.,<br />
AJC is hosting “<strong>The</strong> Next Administration<br />
and the Middle East,” a workshop at the<br />
Selig Center, 1440 Spring Street NW,<br />
Atlanta. Emory University’s Ken Stein will<br />

BIRTHRIGHT ISRAEL. Taglit-Birthright<br />
Israel provides the gift of first-time, peer<br />
group, educational trips to Israel for <strong>Jewish</strong><br />
young adults, ages 18 to 26, from all over the<br />
world. Taglit-Birthright Israel’s founders created<br />
this program in order to diminish the<br />
growing division between Israel and <strong>Jewish</strong><br />
communities around the world, strengthen<br />
the sense of solidarity among world Jewry,<br />
and strengthen participants’ personal <strong>Jewish</strong><br />
identity and connection to the <strong>Jewish</strong> people.<br />

KOSHER CHAMELEON. Kosher<br />
Chameleons are young <strong>Jewish</strong> professionals<br />
living in Atlanta. <strong>The</strong>y enjoy going out in<br />
Midtown, the Highlands, and, rarely,<br />
Buckhead. Kosher Chameleon parties are<br />
hosted by Spiral Entertainment, which has<br />
been throwing parties for the past nine years.<br />
<strong>The</strong> events draw 1,000-4,000 people, mostly<br />
21-40-year-old intowners. <strong>The</strong>se parties are<br />
not religiously affiliated. <strong>The</strong> next event,<br />
New Years 5769, is September 27, 9:00 p.m.,<br />
at the Tin Roof Cantina, 2591 Briarcliff Rd<br />

GESHER (YOUNG ADULTS). <strong>The</strong> Temple<br />
Sinai Gesher group provides meaningful<br />
opportunities to explore <strong>Jewish</strong> tradition and<br />

links young adults in their 20s and 30s to a<br />
welcoming, diverse, Reform <strong>Jewish</strong> community<br />
with inspiring social, educational, spiritual,<br />
