Voice Adults 16+<br />
Singing is the only form <strong>of</strong> music - making that<br />
requires no external object (i.e. violin, drum)<br />
to produce sounds. Our voices are musical<br />
instruments. These small group sessions will<br />
teach students the basics <strong>of</strong> singing: breathing,<br />
diction, abdominal support, tone quality,<br />
phrasing, expression, etc. No prior instruction<br />
is required. Adults and teens are welcome.<br />
Access to a keyboard in between lessons is<br />
helpful but not required. A minimal book fee is<br />
payable to the instructor the first night <strong>of</strong> class<br />
(in cash).<br />

Crochet for Beginners<br />

In this beginning crochet class, you will explore<br />
hook sizes, yarn selection, and some basic<br />
crochet stitches. You will begin by working on<br />
a sample scarf using the stitches you have<br />
learned. Then we will review the stitches,<br />
finishing and edging your scarf and learn some<br />
joining techniques, as time permits. Students<br />
need to bring to class a size “H” crochet hook,<br />
a skein <strong>of</strong> light colored worsted weight non<br />
variegated, non textured yarn (such as Red<br />
Heart), a pair <strong>of</strong> scissors and a tapestry needle.<br />

Enjoy the opportunity to create art in the media<br />

watercolor, pencil, pastel or colored pencil<br />
and more! Classes are held in a spacious<br />
light filled room with views <strong>of</strong> the surrounding<br />
grounds. Students will receive a continuous<br />
one on one education in a relaxed setting. All<br />
levels <strong>of</strong> artistic development, from the<br />
beginning student to the more mature artist,<br />
are welcome. Since classes are taught one on<br />
one, students will advance at their own pace.<br />
Some classes will include a brief lecture and/<br />
or demonstration <strong>of</strong> art theories or principles.<br />
If you wish to start something new, Dottie<br />
will recommend the supplies you will need.<br />
Bring your supplies and subject matter to the<br />
