In this fabulously fun fitness program for preschool children, your child<br />

will get exercise and have lots <strong>of</strong> fun while he/she learns to love exercise<br />

and build healthy habits for a lifetime. Our certified coaches provide<br />

action-packed classes that will help your child develop motor skills, body<br />

strength, endurance and flexibility, plus teach proper nutrition, safety and<br />

hygiene in a fun, active environment. Please dress your child in loose,<br />

comfortable clothing and tennis shoes each day and send a water bottle<br />

Horseback Riding for Youth Ages 6 - 15<br />

In this beginner course, you’ll learn the fundamentals <strong>of</strong> the walk and the<br />

trot with Maypine Farm’s award winning program. You’ll learn side-byside<br />

with other people who have the same passion for horses and riding.<br />

Each lesson incorporates several teaching modalities. The majority <strong>of</strong> the<br />

lessons are mounted, but, one or two lessons per session will be ground<br />

lessons covering care, feeding, showing and the endless other details<br />

necessary for good horsemanship.<br />

dance slippers or bare feet. Although parents and siblings need not stay<br />

to observe, each parent is encouraged to view one or two classes as a<br />

Karate For Kids Ages 7 +<br />

Educators <strong>of</strong>ten recommend martial arts for its structure in helping<br />

children learn discipline, confidence and self esteem to grow up as healthy<br />

adults. By participating in this class, you’ll gain increased coordination,<br />

freedom <strong>of</strong> movement and exciting self-defense techniques, plus you’ll<br />

learn about the history <strong>of</strong> martial arts. This class is <strong>of</strong>fered year-round in<br />

6 week sessions and is taught by Karate Masters with over 60 years <strong>of</strong><br />

combined experience. Parents are invited to participate in the fun and<br />

educational activities <strong>of</strong> our highly successful karate program by enrolling<br />

in the same class as your youngster! Beginner and continuing students<br />

encouraged.<br />

Special Needs Basketball Skills Age 8 - 12<br />

For boys and girls with special needs ages 8 - 12, this new and exciting<br />

adaptive basketball clinic is designed to meet the individual skill levels <strong>of</strong><br />

each participant. Sessions will start with core work and stretching. We’ll<br />

progress to the basic fundamentals <strong>of</strong> basketball including stationary<br />

ball-handling, dribbling, passing and shooting. Head coach Mindy Bakos<br />

<strong>of</strong> Special Sports, Inc. and her staff will provide instruction and help kids<br />

meet their maximum potential for the game <strong>of</strong> basketball.<br />
