This lesson asks students to explore a past hate crime in the Illinois<br />
school district and to analyze the response to it. Through the lesson,<br />
students should gain an understanding not only of what a hate crime is<br />
but what the response has been and what they feel is necessary to<br />
eliminate hate crimes from the classroom.<br />
