Our aim
Located in an idyllic rural setting
close to Scunthorpe, AALPS North
comprises two campuses – Roxby
and Thorpe.
AALPS North has been providing
person-centred and outcomesfocussed
support to young people
with ASD and complex needs for more
than a decade. AALPS North benefits
from extensive facilities and a highly
experienced staff team who focus on
developing strategies that help young
people with complex needs to make
sense of and engage with the world
around them.
We aim to make the sometimes difficult transition from
childhood to adulthood both fulfilling and rewarding.
Being committed to the personalisation agenda and
following our own person-centred planning approach,
each young person has an individually tailored personal
development programme. These programmes ensure that
measurable progress is made in the areas of life, social
and communication skills development, self perception
and awareness and increasing independence.
We provide:
• individually tailored programmes that
integrate care, education and therapy
• person-centred development
programmes that align with the
government’s Autism Strategy
• planned and structured transitions
from childhood to adulthood
• specially designed, homely
living environments based
across two sites
• supported integration into community
life and employment opportunities
• a focus on developing each young
person’s individual potential for
independence
• planned respite services
