Look To The Mount Summer 2012 Mount St. Joseph Association Walkathon The second annual Mount St. Joseph Association Walkathon on Saturday, June 2 nd was a great success. Approximately 60 residents joined family members, friends, and the Sisters at beautiful Paulus Park. All enjoyed the walk along the shores of Lake Zurich on a beautiful day led by “Scoopy” the Culver’s mascot. Afterward, the residents were provided lunch and frozen custard from Culver’s. On behalf of the Mount St. Joseph Association, Arn Baranchik, President of the Association, would like to thank the hardworking event volunteers, all who attended, those who donated on the behalf of the residents, and the Event Sponsors. Look To The Mount Summer 2012 Fun Fair More MSJA Happenings On Saturday, May 5 th , the Mount St. Joseph Association hosted a Fun Fair for the residents. The fun started at Angel Guardian residence, where the ladies had a great time bowling and playing all sorts of games. r. After a special Culver’s lunch, the fun continued in the Mount St. Joseph gym where the residents came to enjoy an afternoon of fun with the various activities, volunteers and staff. A great time was had by all who attended. A special thanks to Teresa Krone for chairing the event and to all those who helped make such a fun time possible! Residence Parties This year, the Mount St. Joseph Association has hosted a variety of activities for the individual residences. In February, Rita Raggi hosted a Super Bowl party at St. Joseph residence. In March, members Julie Vowinkel and Camille Baranchik hosted a St. Patrick’s Day party at Guanella and Marcellina residence. In May, Mary Reick and Debbie Conrad hosted a craft and game fair at St. Clare residence. Currently, Emily Ceragioli and Barb Ritter are planning a summer barbecue at St. Al’s residence. Theatre Outings This year, the Mount St. Joseph Association has hosted some very special outings to the Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre. In the spring, many of the ladies enjoyed seeing Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat followed by lunch at the Fairfield Inn. These outings were so wonderful that the Association planned more for the summer. On July 11 th , the first group of residents enjoyed the Marriott Lincolnshire’s presentation of Sleeping Beauty along with a lovely lunch at the Fairfield Inn! A very big thank you to the Association for making such an entertaining and enriching experience possible. 9
