Design of a transitional, modular space in front of the Halifax<br />

Seaport Farmers’ Market, to encourage outdoor socialization and<br />

community engagement. With fellow designer Heather Banerd.<br />

Incorporates a community garden and rainwater collection system<br />

to provide a framework for life and growth.

Stations<br />

Design of a series of stations for pedestrians traveling along a country path<br />

in Enfield NS, to engage with urban and natural elements at the junction of<br />

2 bridges over a river.

Arts<br />

Studio<br />

Camp<br />

Design of a seasonal space for collaboration between artists<br />

of different fields. Accessible by train, the complex’s shipping<br />

container <strong>ca</strong>bins provide summer accommodations and <strong>ca</strong>n be<br />

removed to reveal rammed earth display walls for art created in<br />

the complex. Sited in Enfield NS.


Stairs<br />

Design of a series of three spaces connected by stairs<br />

and having different qualities of light and enclosure.<br />

S T U D I E S<br />

Sphere<br />

Studies on the creation of a plaster sphere and design of a<br />

device for holding it that expresses the nature of that sphere.


Chair<br />

1st place winner of 1st Annual Street Furniture Competition,<br />

Halifax NS - “Kissing Chairs”, created entirely from scrap<br />

wood in a 7 hour design/build cherette. With team: Renaude<br />

Laberge-Boisjoli, Hannah Brash, Maddy Merkel, and Kathryn<br />

Townsend.<br />

B U I L D<br />

Lamp<br />

Design and construction of a lamp with a “foundation”,<br />

“structure” and “envelope”.

Commision for Halifax West High School music room. Four 2’x2’ panels.<br />
