Malapropisms
A malapropism is the misuse of similar sounding words, especially with humorous results. Here is a list of student
malapropisms collected since 1972
“God crated the best of all possible worlds.”
“Let me reverberate.”
“These are the three points I eluded to earlier.”
“At this point he errored.”
“The impossibility of God can only be either in God or outside him.”
“The appeal to common since.”
“The death penalty makes a definite impression on people.”
Regarding Hobbes’ view: “in the state of nature man is nasty, British and short.”
“Bare in mind....”
“I believe Plato has the right idea but I don’t exactly buy the notion of the forms.”
“...a difference without a distinction.”

A student used ‘non-plutonian’ (presumably for something which doesn’t sit well with Plato).
