Up and Running: A Basic REAPER User Guide Command Comments Cut selected tracks to clipboard Cuts any selected track or tracks to the Windows clipboard from which it or they can be pasted elsewhere within the current project or to a different project. Save selected tracks as a track template… Saves all tracks currently selected into a single track template. Render selected tracks to stem tracks (and bypass originals) Renders any selected tracks to stem tracks. Insert track from template Displays a menu of your track templates, any of which you can use to create a new track (or series of tracks) in the current project. Show selected tracks in mixer Toggles on and off the display of currently selected tracks in the mixer. Set track colors to custom color… Set track colors to random color Set track colors to one random color Set track colors to default Any of these commands can be used to modify the colours of your currently selected tracks, as required. Set timebase for selected tracks Offers a sub menu of options for determining the timebase for currently selected tracks. Set automation mode for selected tracks Lets you change the automation mode (for example, to Write or Read) for all currently selected tracks. An explanation of the menu follows. The first two of these options are mutually exclusive: you should select whichever of these you prefer if you wish to use REAPER’s input monitoring. You do not need to select either of these options, however, if using any input monitoring facility supplied by your sound card. Optionally, you may choose to also monitor track media when recording. In most cases, for normal recording you will want to select Record: input However, the other options (mutually exclusive) are available if and as required.
