During the competition the code of ZoneBlocking was adjusted to the circumstances in
Istanbul. Unfortunately, it was too difficult to get the relative position to the goal stable
enough for a demonstration during Open Challenge. As alternative, an demonstration based
on Dynamic Tree Localization was proposed (see Appendix 12.3).
3.4.5 Research Presentation
Because only a limited amount of time (3 minutes) was given to present about a current research
topic, a presentation was given like an Ignite talk 2 . The research topic presented was a short
summary of the contribution to the RoboCup Iran Open Symposium 2011 [7], as indicated in
Fig. 2.
