Knowing how to calculate pressure is an important math<br />

function while diving. Here is how you calculate cylinder<br />

pressure.<br />

80 cubic feet (or cf) at 3000 PSI can be represented as:<br />

80 cf/ 3000 PSI = 0.0267 lbs per cf<br />

So if you have 2000 pounds of pressure in your cylinder<br />

this is how you would calculate how much air you have<br />

left:<br />

2000 psi x .267 = 53 cf of air<br />

Based on your air consumption you can calculate the<br />

amount of time you can safely dive.
