1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS<br />

This customer conducts business under the names Burlington Coat Factory and MJM Designer Shoes.<br />

Please refer to the WWW specification sheet(s) for footwear construction and labeling information. Vendors<br />

must purchase all boxes; hang tags and other packing materials from suppliers authorized by <strong>Wolverine</strong><br />

Sourcing, Inc. All supplier contact information will be provided to the vendor by <strong>Wolverine</strong> Sourcing, Inc.<br />

2. UPC/SKU/PRICE LABELS<br />

Apply WWW UPC labels as shown on document VCP 7.5.1, section 4.11. Please refer to the WWW purchase<br />

order for pre-ticketing instructions.<br />

Confirm with the Account Manager to see if pre-ticketing is required. If required, Account Manager will place<br />

the order with Fine Line Technologies per the Buyers selected ticket type. Ticketing shoes with gummy labels<br />

must be on the right shoe only. Place gummy label horizontally on the arch of the sole. If gummy label does<br />

not fit on the arch of the sole, place gummy as close to the arch of the sole as possible (as shown in picture #2).<br />

Athletic Shoes only require a Hang Tag through first outer lace eyelet of right shoe. If needed, unlace first<br />

eyelet in order to ticket shoe properly.<br />

3. SHIPPING CARTONS & PACKING<br />

3.1 Carton requirements for footwear<br />

• Top opening, regular slotted, double wall, C-flute corrugate construction.<br />

• Minimum 175 pounds per square inch (PSI) bursting strength, 32 pounds per inch width edge crush<br />

• test, paper weight 33-26-33-26-33.<br />

• Glued carton side seams are preferred. The use of staples in the side seams is not recommended.<br />

• Cartons must be sealed with tamper evident packing tape in an “H” pattern on top and bottom. Do not band the<br />

cartons.<br />

• Cartons must meet the following weight and dimensional requirements:<br />

3.2 Packing footwear<br />

• Pack cartons according to the WWW packing list (available from partners.wwwinc.com) and apply the<br />

corresponding WWW carton labels.<br />

• Place shoe boxes in carton so that the UPC labels are facing upwards and all in the same direction.<br />

• The quantity to be packed in each carton is shown on the WWW purchase order.<br />

• For solid packed cartons, pack only one stock number, size, and color in each carton. Solid packed cartons<br />

should be marked “BULK” as shown in section 4.1. For any carton with a unit quantity that is inconsistent with<br />

the rest of the cartons for that style must be labeled as “ODD CARTON” as shown in section 4.1.<br />

• Do not use empty merchandise boxes as fillers.<br />

4. SHIPPING CARTON MARKING<br />

4.1 Carton labels<br />

Apply the WWW barcode carton label (license plate) to the lower left corner of longest side. The lower edge of<br />

the label should be at least 1” (2.5 cm) from the bottom of the carton and the left edge of the label should be at<br />

least 1” (2.5 cm) from the side of the carton. WWW license plates are not required for First Cost type orders.<br />

Apply a <strong>Modecraft</strong> shipping label to the upper right corner of the same side as the WWW license plate label.<br />

The label must be at least 3” (7.6 cm) high and 6” (15.2 cm) wide with black lettering on a white background.<br />

Samples of labels must be approved by WWW prior to production.<br />

4.2 Carton markings<br />

• Markings must be stenciled on opposite sides in lettering at least 1/2” (1.5 cm) high.<br />

5. PACKING LIST<br />

For each purchase order and ship-to address, a complete packing list itemized by carton is to<br />

be attached to the lead carton (carton #1). The envelope containing the packing list must be<br />

clearly marked as “Packing List Enclosed.” Packing lists must include the following information:<br />

• Ship-to address<br />

• Customer PO number<br />

• WWW Internal Reference number<br />

• Carton numbers<br />

• WWW stock number(s)<br />

• Sizes & widths<br />

• Quantity per carton<br />

• Total quantity per SKU<br />

• Weights & measurements<br />

See FORMS – VCP 7.5.1.10 for an example of an acceptable packing list format.<br />

6. CHARGE BACKS<br />

Failures to comply with these guidelines will result in charge backs per the customer’s charge back schedule.<br />
