UK Implementation<br />
• Eurocode suite allows National Annexes<br />
– Effectively all now published<br />
• Fully available for use in the UK<br />
– Building regulations in UK are “open”<br />
• England, Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland<br />
– BS EN standards are British Standards<br />
• Eurocode 3 is BS EN 1993<br />
– BS standards (eg BS 5950) are superseded<br />
• Withdrawn by BSI but still in use<br />
– “Only” 20%(?) using Eurocodes for buildings<br />
Wider Implementation<br />
• All new UK highway works to Eurocodes<br />
• Public works generally all Eurocodes too<br />
