3 little Halos Fund
Susan and Jim Butler
presented West Chester
Fire Chief Tony Goller
with a Sparky Hazard
House. The tool, valued
at more than $15,000
will provide the Fire
Department with the
opportunity to educate
young children about
the different hazards in
their homes. The gift was
made possible through
the support of the 3
little Halos Fund
created in memory of
Susan and Jim’s
grandchildren, Aubrey,
Alex and Braden, who
perished in a fire in 2007.
Butler County Metroparks
program Fund
The local community
jumped on board for the
MetroParks Crazy
Cardboard Regatta’s
maiden voyage in July
of 2010. Creative crews
designed and built more
than 20 boats from
cardboard. To the delight
of more than 5,000
spectators, participants
paddled 200 yards to
reach the finish line.
The event raised $8,000
to support the addition
of a playground at the
Voice of America Park.
olde West Chester
Christmas Walk Fund
Each year, local businesses
and organizations gather
in Olde West Chester for
the Annual Christmas
Walk and Parade. The
event includes a petting
zoo, pony rides, make ‘n
take crafts and games
for children and, of course,
a visit from Santa and
Mrs. Claus!
Kromer-pavlech Family
Fund
In 2010, the Kromer-
Pavlech Family Fund
sponsored West Chester
Township’s Random
Acts of Simple Kindness
Affecting Local Seniors
(RASKALS) Day. Twice
a year, local volunteers
help senior citizens in
our community with
simple yard clean-up
chores. The Kromer-
Pavlech Family Fund
provides lunch to all
of the volunteers.
