Agenda
Embroidery equipment is expensive, and you
must maintain it to keep your valuable
keep production, and your bottom line, up.
In this Webinar, you’ll learn:
•Six key areas of an embroidery machine
that you should be cleaning and maintaining
regularly
•Plus, learn what you can fix – and when you
should call your technician

Why You Should Maintain Your
Embroidery Machine From Day 1
1. To sustain peak production capability
2. To sustain maximum stitch quality
3. To maintain viability of your equipment
in the resale market
4. To reduce maintenance costs and
machine down time

Machine Maintenance Tip 1
1. Have your cleaning power
supplies on hand – and use
them.
• Your job: Thoroughly clean your
machine once a month.
• The tech’s job: Get a tech to deep
clean your machine once a year.

Machine Maintenance Tip 2
2. Clean the pantograph. Keep
this area clean to reduce the risk
of registration problems.
• Your job: Clean the debris out every
month.
• The tech’s job: Get a tech to inspect
the pantograph once a year. The tech
should repack all bearings every
three to five years.

Machine Maintenance Tip 3
3. Inspect your knife area.
• Your job: Clean and inspect the area
once a week.
• The tech’s job: Get a tech to check,
and adjust if necessary, the knife
blade level and pressure. The tech
can replace blades as needed.

Machine Maintenance Tip 4
4. Maintain your tensioner assembly.
• Your job: Deep clean pre-tension disks
every few months.
• Your job: Replace tension felt every few
years.
• The tech’s job: Your tech can replace
damaged check springs when needed
and set tensions on them.
• The tech’s job: Your tech can inspect
all check spring tensions.

Machine Maintenance Tip 5
5. Grease your machine.
• Your job: Read the manual and
understand where to lubricate with
grease.
• The tech’s job: Get your tech to
inspect your machine for overgreasing
and remove excess grease
when needed.

Machine Maintenance Tip 6
6. Flush out your rotary hooks.
• Your job: Flush out the rotary hook
