The College of Science and Technology at <strong>Texas</strong> Southern University has had a very fruitful 2011-2012<br />
academic year. As Dean of the College of Science and Technology, I would like to share our<br />
accomplishments with you and invite you to join us at our Open House -- Alumni and Partnership<br />
Luncheon from 11:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2012. We have prepared a short<br />
program that will highlight some of our activities, present our students, faculty research, and outreach<br />
efforts.<br />
Our Open House highlights the most active and significant partners of the past year. We are very pleased<br />
to recognize the Port of Houston Authority this year as our “Partner of the Year.”<br />
In the Open House, we will announce the recipients of our Distinguished Alumni Awards selected by<br />
each department in the College.<br />
The College of Science and Technology is addressing the shortfall in the scientific workforce by<br />
encouraging our students to pursue the study of fields that are in demand in business, industry,<br />
government, and higher education.<br />
