Thank-you all so much for your contributions to Sunshine and
Clouds. It is always so good to hear from you.
1. This message comes from Diane and Mike Hayes. They are getting ready to
attend their grandson’s wedding on August 10 th . They are concerned about
the heat, considering that it has been triple digits for some time.
2. It sounds like Bob and Peggy Cook are very busy with a fun summer. They
are headubg ti Canada next week in their hotrod for the Deuce Days event
that is held every three years. There will be approximately 19 other hot rods.
After the event, they will be taking a five or six day rip through Idaho and
Yellowstone or watever suits heir fancy. When they arrive back home in
Fresno, they will pack up again and head for their home in Bass Lake where
they will stay for the month of August. This is something that they have
never sone before and are very excited.
3. And now news from Skip Severance – It seems he and Leigh Ann are in
Oregon on the Columbia River with 60 other Miatas. Did I say
Miatas??????? Skip goes on to say they have been driving with the top down
almost the whole trip. Has the 2014 Corvette been replaced by the Miata???
Give me a break!
4. And now from Patricia Garrahan: Patrici says her daughter’s friend was to
Costa Rica with her. Although she had paid for most of the trip, she changes
her mind about going. Soooo, here coms Mom Patricia. Patricia paid the
difference of cost for the trip and she and Heidi will be off to Costa Rica on
the 19 th of July. They are going to the Sanctuary on Two Rivers….A yoga
retreat complete with vegan food, waterfalls, glorious beaches, jungle hiking,
river walking, a tree house for their accommodations and jungle shower.
They will fly into San Jose (the capital of Costa Rica) and drive overland ina
bus through overgrown jungle roads and cross the bay on a ferry to get
there. They are flying on a re-eye there and back. What was she thinking?
Patricia asked us to take care of Patrick while she is gone.
5. And finally, while on our run to Solvang, we had lunch in Pismo where
Tavares jojined us. It was so good to see him. Rick should know that we love
him and miss him so much!
