regular meeting.
Ann Walter gave an update
on Chamber of Commerce and
other activities. She also
thanked the council for the
donation to help place an ad for
Waterville in the Lawrence
Journal World’s Tourism Guide
and the Midland RR Tourism
Guide.
Jim Oatney reported that one
of the wells is not in operation
at this time, but should be up

Terry Blaser asked that
everyone look at any changes
or increases that will be needed
for the year 2013 budget.
By motion the council
approved a $500 donation to
the Waterville Fireworks.
The council reviewed the
charges for equipment and
agreed to raise the electric
and/or water reconnection fee
to $100 and increase some of
the machinery rental rates to
$100 per hour. Charges for
renting the community center
will also be reviewed for a possible
increase.

if the city would host a leadership/community

event that she is planning on
having to attract people to our
community.
The council approved a cereal
malt beverage license to the
Waterville Fireworks group.
The next regular city council
meeting in July will be scheduled
for July 16.
The council agreed to get an
estimate for repair of the
Community Center roof that
has been leaking.
Motion was made to pay all
bills presented; motion was
seconded and carried.
The council agreed by
motion to replenish the Petty
Cash Fund with $17.00.
The council unanimously
approved the May financial
statement.
Motion to adjourn carried.
