EDINBURGH DUO CROWNED BEST
AMATEUR DARTS DOUBLES TEAM
June saw the fi nal of the Harrows Darts UK Doubles Tournament at Rileys
Bolton, and it was Darren Tiffney and Ryan Murray from Edinburgh who
came away champions, winning £2,500 and the title of best amateur darts
doubles team in the UK.

money each in the competition!

September saw the second leg of the Phil Taylor roadshow at Rileys
Colchester, and one Rileys regular will be dining out on tales of the
evening for a long time to come. Mickey, who plays for Colchester Rileys
superleague, managed to beat The Power in the one-leg competition. Phil
took it all in great humour, congratulating Mickey before going on to beat the
rest of the challengers.
RILEYS JAMES HUBBARD THROUGH TO
THE FINAL OF THE 2011 PDC WORLD
YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP
Nineteen year old Rileys member James Hubbard has made it through to the
fi nal of the 2011 PDC World Youth Championship. He will play Michael van
Gerwen in the fi nal at the O2 Arena in London on May 17th 2012. The PDC
World Youth Championship offers £30,000 in prize money plus an invitation
to compete in November’s Grand Slam of Darts 2011, where James went out
to Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor.

The ‘FA Cup of Darts’ is on the

The UK Open is the only PDC
tournament where amateur players
compete against top professionals,
including 15-time World Champion
Phil Taylor.
Rileys, the largest pool, snooker
and darts operator in the UK, have
32 places up for grabs for the UK
Open at Bolton Wanderers’ Reebok
Stadium, June 7-10th.
Rileys will hold one-off knockout
tournaments at 32 of their clubs
nationwide to fi nd 32 winners.
The 32 winners will also receive
£100 of Rileys Vouchers and a
personalised shirt to play in, when
they attend the tournament in June.

Power’ Taylor said: “I would love to
see some new talent get through to
the fi nal rounds.
“There’s nothing better than a spot of
giant killing. It happens in football’s
FA Cup – so why not in darts? Rileys

The fi nals for UK Open, televised
live on Sky Sports, take place at
Bolton Wanderers FC’s Reebok
Stadium from Thursday June 7 to
Sunday June 10, with a prize fund of
£200,000.
Last year, Rileys amateurs claimed
a total of £18,000 in prize money
including two quarter fi nalists
