Rodgers Gamuti doesn’t see any future
in PayTV: “All of our channels are transmitted
in the clear!” Naturally he also
one day hopes to market advertising.
But right now their primary objective is
to expand their available programming.
“We already have signed contracts with
other channels from South Africa, Kenya,
Nigeria, Uganda and Botswana”, explains
Rodgers Gamuti who previously worked
for 12 years in Business Development for
the private company Sentech, the technical
provider for SABC.
They are even thinking of radio channels.
“We will soon be starting with two
channels, Devine Truth and Rainbow
Radio from Johannesburg; in the future it
will be 10 channels.”
An interesting project is the setting
up of two-way Internet access via the
ViewAfrica’s headquarters can be found in this
villa in the Johannesburg suburb of Parkview. In
addition to the director, one engineer, three sales
personnel as well as three call-center employees
work here. In the London office there are three
employees that handle all the finances and one
software IT specialist. Three directors manage the

Pounds, has some lofty goals!
