TENDER NOTICE
The CCI Ltd, Guntur invites sealed tender for disposal of empty lint
boras and Jute twins lying at various godowns on “AS IS WHERE IS BASIS”.
Interested parties have to submit an EMD @ Rs.10% of the Tender Value
along with the tender form. The details can be had from website
www.cotcorp.gov.in / www.tenders.gov.in and Branch Office, Guntur in
working hours on any working day. The tender forms along with terms and
conditions can be obtained from Branch Office on payment of Rs.105/- and
in case, tender form download from the Website, DD/Pay order for Rs.105/-
in favour of “THE COTTON CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD” payable at
Guntur be enclosed at the time of submission of Tender Form. Tenders should
reach this office on or before 04.05.2012 by 3.30 pm. The sealed tenders
received shall be opened on the same day at 4.30 pm in presence of the
tenderers who may wish to remain present. The Corporation reserves the right
to accept or reject any / all tenders without assigning any reason thereof.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF TENDER FOR DISPOSAL OF OLD EMPTY
LINT BORAS & JUTE TWINS LYING AT VARIOUS GODOWNS UNDER
BRANCH OFFICE: GUNTUR TO BE HELD ON 04.05.2012 AT 4.30 P.M

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF TENDER:
01. Each sealed tender should be accompanied with minimum EMD @ Rs.10% of
the total tender value given by the tenderer in tender form by way of D.D. /
Pay Order from a Scheduled bank drawn in favour of THE COTTON
CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD payable at Guntur. The EMD should be
deposited along with terms and conditions of tender duly signed by the party
along with rubber seal of the firm towards acceptance of terms and conditions
before submission of tenders.
02. Any tender without required EMD / lesser EMD shall will not be entertained
and summarily rejected. Value of the EMD should not be under any
circumstances less than to 10%.The calculation for EMD amount is to be
worked as under:-
i.) For Old empty Lint boras: No.of Boras (x) quoted rate per bora =
Value x 10% = EMD value.
ii.) For Jute twins : Qnty in kgs (x) quoted rate per kg =
Value x 10% = EMD value.
03. The sale is on “AS IS WHERE IS BASIS” and on “NO REJECTION BASIS”.
No quality dispute will be entertained once the sale is confirmed in the tender.
The quantity available is subject to variation.
04. On each item there will be applicable sales tax and any other taxes as
applicable at the time of the delivery will be extra on quoted price.
05. The rates should be quoted for item wise / godown wise entire quantity in all
respects. The rates should be quoted in “Rs. PER BORA IN CASE OF
BORAS AND Rs..PER KG. FOR JUTE TWINS”.
06. The tenderer should quote for the entire quantity of any particular item for a
godown.
07. Earnest Money Deposit will be adjusted only at the time of last delivery and
no interest will be payable on EMD.
08. Ten days (10) free period will be given for lifting of the goods from the date of
confirmation of sale and delivery will be effected after receiving 100%
payment.

09. The buyer shall have to deposit additional 25% of the value of the items
confirmed in the tender within forty eight (48) hours i.e. two days from the
date of confirmation of the tender, failing which the sale confirmation will be
treated as cancelled at the discretion of the Corporation and the EMD shall be
forfeited.
10. Without prejudice to the provisions stated above, the seller may carry or hold
goods on behalf of the buyer beyond free delivery period, maximum up to 10
days.
11. All stocks shall be delivered at spot against 100% payment in the presence of
the buyer / buyer’s representative.
12. The rate quoted by the parties for individual item godown wise shall be
considered to finalize the H1.
13. If payment is not made and delivery is not taken within 25 days from the date
of sale confirmation, the Seller may cancel the contract / sale and forfeit the
said EMD and additional deposit. The provisions under this contract with
respect to a breach of the contract / sale shall be invoked and operated
automatically without any need for a notice from the seller to the Buyer.
14. If the party does not take physical delivery of stocks within 15 days from the
date of making full payment, late lifting charges @ 1.0% per month shall be
charged from 16 th day of payment on such unlifted stock, till the delivery of
goods is taken.
15. The parties are requested / required to visit the spot and inspect the quality
before putting the tender.
16. The tender will be opened and finalized at Branch Office, Guntur at 4.30 pm
on 04.5.2012 in the presence of the tenderers present, wherein not more than
one representative on behalf of each tenders will be allowed to attend.
17. The Corporation reserves its right either to accept / reject any or all the tenders
partly / fully without assigning any reason. The decision of the Corporation in
this respect is final and binding.
18. The sale is subjected to Guntur jurisdiction only.
19. FORCE MAJEURE: Should any circumstances beyond the control of the
Seller such as natural calamity, strike, riot, elements, war, quarantine, fire or
any act of circumstances of force majeure, the contract shall be cancelled to
the extent of damage/destruction/shortfall arising due to the above causes.
